The in built card reader will allow you to put photos from your digital camera straight onto the laptop so you can store them on the very ample 160GB hard drive. There is also a built in webcam on the laptop lid so you can video call your friends and family. The Graphics card is a better version of shared memory cards but is not one to use for games or video editing.
If possible we would recommend upgrading the graphics card and then this system will be a very well priced laptop capable of performing almost all tasks.

The integrated ATI Radeon graphics card shares up to 1GB of the systems memory so it will be good for all media and video applications but it will not be suitable for many of the latest games.
The 120GB hard disk will be enough storage for thousands of music and photo files but if you plan to store many large video files you may need something a little bigger.
We would recommend this laptop to anyone needing a well priced machine for internet, media and work applications which will last a good number of years in to the future. We would also recommend getting the Digital TV tuner option for only £24 as this will add another advantage to this laptop.

The Samsung R700 is strong in all categories of use but it would excell as a multimedia laptop thanks to the very large hard disk and 17 inch screen. An excellent choice for this price.
