The 2.0GHz processor and 1Gb of memory will be adequate for any operating system and office applications

To save money this laptop sports last seasons single processor running at a healthy 2.0GHz which will be more than adequate for any operating system, office and media applications.  The 1GB of memory is not a great amount but this is easily upgradble in the future and will be enough to keep data flowing to the processor.  The graphics card is a decent integrated X3100 which will be more than up to the task of running the operating system as well as giving good visual quality to photos, video and office applications. 

The small 120Gb hard drive will probably be more than enough storage space for most users, especially if it used just for office applications and files.  However if you plan to keep lots of music, photos and video files on the Acer 5315 we would recommend getting an external hard disk drive to boost the capacity.  The 15.4 inch screen is a highlight on this budget laptop as it is a very good quality WXGA screen that will provide excelelnt clarity. 

This laptop will be perfect for anyone looking for a very budget system that will be used primarily for work in the office, at home or by a student.
