This is first attempt at a slim media PC by Dell and they have succeeded with style. The all glass front of the screen is very sleek with o plastic at all to be seen. It looks completely devoid of buttons or controls until you move close and then the touch sensitive controls glow a delightful blue. There is no computer case or box with this machine as all the components are located in the back of the screen making it an ideal computer for living rooms or bedrooms.

A hefty 2.33GHz and 2GB of memory will run any application smoothly

Appearances aside the Dell XPS One has plenty of features inside to take on almost any task. There is an Intel Duo Core processor running at a hefty 2.33GHz and 2GB of memory which will ensure that all applications, internet, e-mail or media will all run smoothly. The ATI Radeon graphics card is nothing special but it is more than suitable for displaying movies and photos with brilliant clarity on the XPS One 20inch widescreen.

The 320GB hard disk will be more than enough for most users needs but we would recommend getting an external hard disk in the future as this machine comes with an built in TV tuner so that you can watch and record digital TV. The XPS One also comes equipped with media remote controls so that it can be used in the same fashion as a TV and the 5W stereo speakers attached to the screen provide excellent sound quality.

The XPS One is designed to be a media centre and has all the gadgets that you could possibly need to get the best out of this machine. It does also provide enough power for photo and video editing and office applications will thrive on the XPS One making ideal for work as well.
