The X300 takes advantage of the new solid state hard disk technology that has no moving parts allowing it to be very compact. The downside to this technology is that it adds a rather large cost whilst only providing 64GB of storage space. The processor is a good Intel Core 2 Duo and combined with the 2GB of memory this laptop will have no trouble running office, internet and media applications.

Unlike other Ultra-Portable laptops the X300 has kept lots of connection ports for USB devices, network as well as a built in webcam and a DVD drive so you can still watch movies. The graphics card is not suitable for gaming but will cope with all other tasks. The 13.3 inch screen is a good size for this tiny laptop and is easy to see even when on the move.

The ThinkPad X300 is ideal for working whilst on the move thanks to its tiny stature and weight. It uses many of the latest technologies available today to achieve such a portable design but this is at the cost of a decent graphics card and a small hard disk. We would recommend this laptop to anyone wanting a work machine that can be taken and used literally anywhere.
