The Packard Bell 2414 has very high specification main components that are a rather suprising find in a desktop PC under £500.  The Quad Core Intel processor and large 3GB of memory are excellent components at this price and they will ensure that this computer will handle any applications easily, be it now or three or four years in to the future.  The Geforce 7050 graphics card is disappointing but this is where the computer makes it sacrafice to keep the costs to a minimum.  This graphics card will only be a problem if you are wishing to play graphically intensive computer games, for everything else it should cope adequately. 

A 320GB hard disk drive will provide plenty of space for all your media files and the 20" widescreen is a good size for this price

For your media needs there is a 320GB hard disk drive which should be more than enough storage space for most users as you will be able to fit thousands of music, photo and video files on to this machine.  The 20 inch widescreen is also an impressive addition to this setup and will give you excellent clarity on any movie, photo or office applications.

The Packard Bell 2414 is a very high specification machine for an exceptionally low price.  It will deal with almost any task with ease thanks to the very powerful processor and large amount of memory.  We would recommend upgrading the graphics card if you wish to play games or if you want to turn this computer in to an ultimate multi media system then a larger screen and TV tuner would be excellent choices.  The Quad core processor means that this PC will last well in to the future without the need for major upgrades.
