The Toshiba A300D-13X runs on an AMD Turion X2 processor running at 2.0GHz which will be more than ample to run any office or media applications.  The 2GB of memory is ideal to take advantage of the dual core processor as it will be able to keep a constant stream of data flowing to the processor ensuring you get great performance. 

200GB of storage space for all your music and video files 

The graphics card is the sacrafice made in this laptop as it is just an Intel integrated card which will be adequate for any operating system, office and media functions but it will not be suitable for any type of video editing or new computer games.  The 200GB of hard disk space is a very good size disk in a laptop for under £500 and it will be more than enough for most users as it will store thousands of photo, music and office files.  For media use there are also external touch sensitive controls so that you can play, pause and stop any media without the moue or keyboard. 

The Toshiba A300D-13X also sports a 15.4 inch Trubrite widescreen which is renowned for being a very high quality screen which will display any media and office applications in exceptionally good detail.  There is also a built in webcam which provides easy to use video calling as well as the new face recognition software so you can set up secure logons. 

The Toshiba A300D-13X will be a great laptop for anyone who wants a low priced computer that is fairly portable.  It boasts easily enough power to run all types of office, internet and media applications.  The webcam and touch sensitive media controls are excellent additions.   This is a great looking laptop and for this price we would highly recommend it.
